Top of the day to you!
We landed safely in Ireland at 8 am GMT (1am Mountain) – I slept about an hour on the flight and I’m guessing J got about 2-3 hours of sleep. I could tell we were exhausted because we sat waiting for our luggage at the wrong carousel for about 40 mintues before it dawned on J that our bags come into a different one! Then we had to wait for the car at the rental place.
That’s right – J decided to drive – for those who aren’t aware not only do Ireland drivers drive on the left side of the road – the steering wheel is on the right. It certainly was an interesting ride from the car rental place to our hotel. Especially for two people who are challenged when discerning their left from their right! (Yes, J actually used his left hand to form an “L” while driving – I saw it!)
We had to get some sleep so we checked in early and crashed for four hours. Then we hit a local pub where we lunched and watched a group of four locals get kicked out for being too rowdy… in Ireland!
Now we are on our tired (exhausted!) way to the Jameson Distillery for a tour, a three course Irish meal, and an Irish shindig! Hopefully we will get some rest before our 4 hour drive to Bushmills, N. Ireland tomorrow.
