In my typical fashion, I decided to go back to college, got re-admitted, and signed up for classes within days of deciding to go back. I just am not one to lollygag once I’ve decided something. (Yes I said lollygag, so blah!)
I had my first class tonight (which was really my second class because I missed my first class in typical Mon-Mon fashion, and no, I’m not going to share why I missed it.) I’m only taking one class this semester because I thought it made sense since I’ve been away from college for several years. (and no, taking only one class has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I waited until a week before classes started to get re-admitted, thank you very much!) Perhaps I will take more than one next semester but we will just see.
My first class is called Applied Behavior Analysis – which is all about figuring out why people do what they do and how to change what they do. So be prepared to be dissected and analyzed by yours truly. Of course, in my typical fashion, I will also offer my opinion on why you should be doing something different.
Did I mention I switched majors? Originally, I was a journalism major, then I decided to major in computer information systems. Now, yes now, I’m going for Human Services.
So that’s my story. More to come on my experiences at the book store, the obnoxious guy in my class, the teacher who looks like Cuba Gooding Jr and more!
I’m dying to go back to school. I am hoping next fall, when both of my kiddos are in elementary, I can take a couple of classes as well. I’ll be interested to hear all about your adventures
Congratulations on going back to school! I need to go back myself, but haven’t been able to swing it yet.
Is your teacher as irritating as Cuba Gooding, Jr.?
SG – I will try to provide good stories until you have your own.
Cornelius: Is it wrong that I think my teacher is kinda handsome? Grrr!
